Dear Parents, Guardians, and the Rahan N.S. Community,
I am truly honoured to step into the role of Príomhoide Scoil Náisíúnta Rathain. From the moment I arrived, I have been struck by the warmth, spirit, and dedication that make this school such a special place. Rahan N.S. is more than a school—it’s a community where children are nurtured, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
At Rahan N.S., we are committed to creating a learning environment where kindness, respect, and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do. Together, with our fantastic staff, supportive parents/guardians, and wonderful pupils, we will continue to make this school a place where every child feels valued, confident, and excited to learn.

Krafy Kidz Preschool
Krafty Kidz Pre-School in Mallow is open to girls and boys from 2 years 6 months of age and aims to provide a happy, fun learning environment, where each child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
A very special atmosphere prevails in our Pre-School classroom, with a full schedule of exciting activities planned each day from 8.30am to 11.30am.
The girls and boys explore the learning and development in: communicating, well being, exploring and thinking, identity and belonging. Each week, they discover a different topic.
Krafty Kidz After-School Programme
The After-School Service runs from 1.30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. Scoil Rathain children are collected from the school, we offer supervised homework and provide a snack.
On Fridays we run “Friday Fever”, the children unwind from their week and play with their friends. We supply hot chocolates and a treat, we also have fun activities such as Disco day, glass painting, cooking with chocolate etc.
Krafty Kidz partake in the National Childcare Scheme.
