Principal's Message
Fáilte is fiche romhaibh go léir chuig ár suíomh gréasáin scoile. Welcome to our website and I hope that it will provide a small insight on daily life in our school.
It is my pleasure and honour to be the principal of Scoil Rathain. Our school is a small, co-educational school ideally situated just 5 minutes from Mallow Bridge. It has been an integral part of the local community for years and it is wonderful to see past pupils return; both as parents, and staff!
Scoil Rathain's motto is “Mól an Óige agus Tiocfaidh Sí”. We aspire to celebrate our pupils' achievements as a way to instil confidence on a daily basis. Through living up to this old Irish proverb, our school atmosphere is one of inclusion and respect. This, coupled with the hard work and dedication of pupils, staff, and parents, means an environment where children truly flourish.

Krafy Kidz Preschool
Krafty Kidz Pre-School in Mallow is open to girls and boys from 2 years 6 months of age and aims to provide a happy, fun learning environment, where each child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
A very special atmosphere prevails in our Pre-School classroom, with a full schedule of exciting activities planned each day from 8.30am to 11.30am.
The girls and boys explore the learning and development in: communicating, well being, exploring and thinking, identity and belonging. Each week, they discover a different topic.
Krafty Kidz After-School Programme
The After-School Service runs from 1.30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. Scoil Rathain children are collected from the school, we offer supervised homework and provide a snack.
On Fridays we run “Friday Fever”, the children unwind from their week and play with their friends. We supply hot chocolates and a treat, we also have fun activities such as Disco day, glass painting, cooking with chocolate etc.
Krafty Kidz partake in the National Childcare Scheme.
